Construction Laborer
This role focuses on leading commercial millwork installation on active construction sites, including knock-down metal frames, hollow metal doors, cabinetry, and countertops. You will guide installation crews, interpret blueprints, and ensure all work meets strict quality and safety standards while contributing hands-on carpentry expertise in a fast-paced commercial environment.
Responsibilities- Lead commercial millwork installation crews on active construction job sites across office, retail, healthcare, education, and industrial projects.
- Install knock-down (KD) metal frames, hollow metal doors, cabinetry, countertops, and related millwork components according to project specifications.
- Interpret and work from blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications to plan and execute accurate installations.
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards, building codes, and project requirements.
- Promote and enforce safety practices on site, following OSHA guidelines and company safety policies at all times.
- Coordinate daily tasks, assign work, and provide direction to crew members to maintain productivity and meet project schedules.
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively for carpentry, framing, drywall, and finish work.
- Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and proper fit, making adjustments as needed.
- Communicate with site supervisors and other trades to resolve issues and maintain smooth workflow.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including proper storage and handling of tools and materials.
- Report progress, challenges, and material needs to project leadership in a timely and professional manner.
- Minimum 3+ years of commercial carpentry and millwork experience, including KD metal frames and hollow metal doors.
- At least 1 year of experience in a lead or crew lead capacity on construction or millwork projects.
- Proficiency in installing KD metal frames, hollow metal doors, cabinetry, countertops, and related commercial millwork.
- Strong construction experience with hands-on experience in carpentry, framing, drywall, millwork, and finish work.
- Ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints and construction drawings.
- OSHA 10 certification and strong safety orientation.
- Skilled in the safe and effective use of hand and power tools commonly used in construction and carpentry.
- Reliable transportation to travel to active commercial job sites.
- Ability to work Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with flexibility for overtime as needed.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.

- Experience working on high-profile commercial projects in office, retail, healthcare, education, or industrial environments.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor crew members on site.
- Solid understanding of construction sequencing and coordination with other trades.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with project teams and site personnel.
- Goal-oriented mindset with interest in progressing into higher-level lead or supervisory roles.
