The technician role focuses on diagnosing and repairing commercial food equipment, performing preventative maintenance, training store associates on equipment care and cleaning, and managing work orders to ensure equipment reliability, safety, and efficiency in Walmart stores.

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple crafts (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment) with hand tools and power tools.
• Utilize the work order system to receive and document repair activities for Stores and Store associates.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues; perform repairs as needed.
• Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely.

• 18 years or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Can lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
• Can move up and down ladders frequently; comfortable working at heights
• Able to sit or stand for long periods
• Able to work in various temperatures
• Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR
• Vocational or Technical certification and 2 years’ experience or 4 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area; license in a related trade where required
• Ability to read and speak English as required

• Commercial driving record with no DUI/DWI in the last five years; no more than two moving violations in the last three years
• Experience in commercial HVAC/R, building controls, or related field
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software

• Hourly wage: $31.00 - $61.00 per hour
• Full-time status with varying shifts
