PositionResponsibilities
This position is responsible for the safety, security, and well‑being of the client’s employees as well as its property, visitors, vendors and anyone conducting business at this facility. Duties include reporting to the client and company staff of any issues or concerns which may arise, including all daily functions and/or emergencies which may occur.
Essential Functions- Performs scheduled and/or routine fire inspection preventive maintenance on a variety of fire system equipment under contract agreement by inspecting, adjusting, cleaning, and calibrating systems and checking out equipment to ensure it is in satisfactory working order.
- Completes maintenance that reduces service calls and emergency calls and results in achieving the goal of zero call backs.
- When required, assists with the start‑up of new equipment or system installation and makes adjustments as needed to ensure the system is operational.
- Performs work assignments in a safe manner and within specified cost limits.
- Promotes, builds, and maintains good customer relations and assists with contract retention. Seeks opportunities for upgrading fire systems.
- Maintains company property and documentation in accordance with established policies; handles proprietary information in the prescribed manner; adheres to and supports Securitas Technology policies and procedures including all safety requirements.
- Maintains knowledge of industry changes and new developments in products and technology.
- Attends and completes training programs as requested.
- Presents a professional appearance and maintains a clean, orderly and professional vehicle image.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two to five years of experience installing and/or servicing intrusion, fire alarm, access control, and CCTV security systems with a basic understanding of electronics, wiring, local and national codes.
- IP video and IT experience.
- ESA Certified Alarm Technician preferred.
- Fire/life safety systems experience required.
- S98 certification required or NICET I & II.
- NTS Certified Service Technician preferred.
