Position: Spring 2026 General Marine Contractor Services
Location: New York

Project Overview

Brooklyn Bridge Park is seeking a qualified General/Marine Contractor for the rehabilitation of marine structures at Empire Fulton Ferry and Fulton Ferry Landing, and the removal of a Transfer Bridge at Pier 4, scheduled for Spring 2026.

Scope of Work
  • Rehabilitation of marine structures at Empire Fulton Ferry, including epoxy grout application for pile repairs, replacement of deteriorated concrete and steel cleaning for substructure repairs, and replacement of compressible material and flowable fill at the bulkhead.
  • Rehabilitation of Fulton Ferry Landing, which involves filling voids and sinkholes at the east bulkhead, repairing steel sheets, repairing spalls and filling grout on concrete pile caps on the pier, and replacing reinforced concrete encasement at the gravity wall.
  • Demolition and removal of Pier 4 Transfer Bridge from the waterside using barge-mounted equipment; removal of timber rail ties, steel rails/beams/girders, and submerged timber platform and piles down to the mudline.
Location & Public Access

The work will be performed in completed sections of the park that are open and populated by the public. Prioritizing public convenience and safety is a key consideration.
