The Pest Control Technician is a full-time, on-site position based in Brooklyn, NY. In this role, the technician inspects residential and commercial properties to identify pest issues, determine the extent of infestations, and assess contributing conditions. The technician applies appropriate treatment methods and products, implements integrated pest management strategies, and provides recommendations to prevent future problems. Daily responsibilities include preparing and carrying equipment and materials, documenting visits and findings, following safety and regulatory guidelines, and maintaining accurate service records.
The technician communicates clearly with customers about treatment plans, educates them on preventative measures, and collaborates with the team to ensure consistent, high-quality service.
- Strong pest management skills, including Pest Control, Integrated Pest Management, and familiarity with PEST practices.
- Effective Communication skills for interacting with customers, explaining treatment plans, and documenting service activities.
- Basic Lawn Care knowledge to address outdoor pest issues and support property-wide prevention strategies.
- Ability to work safely with chemicals and equipment, follow regulatory and company guidelines, and adhere to safety protocols.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant state pest control license or certification preferred, or willingness to obtain.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to customer locations in Brooklyn and surrounding areas.
- Comfort with physically demanding work, including standing, walking, lifting, and working in varied indoor and outdoor environments.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused mindset.
