Electrician – Westchester Facility

As an Electrician at New York-Presbyterian Westchester you will install, test, maintain and repair electrical systems in order to maintain a safe and well-lighted environment. You will inspect and test systems and equipment prior to placing in full operation, diagnose and resolve electrical problems, such as blown fuses, short circuits, loose wires/connection and renew or replace faulty circuits. Additional responsibilities include determining materials needed according to repairs to a wide variety of electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, specifications, sketches, systems and equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma plus 1 year mechanical or technical school training; must be familiar with NYC electrical and NFPA codes.
• Either NYC Master Electrician License or Westchester County Electrician License.
• Must have a thorough knowledge of electrical systems up to 480 volts, hand and power tools, and all supplies and equipment related to electrical wiring, installation, repair and maintenance gained through at least 3 years' experience as an electrician.
• Must be able to read schematic and parts diagrams.
• Additionally, requires a high level of physical exertion and demands, such as lifting, climbing ladders, crouching, reaching, bending, kneeling, and stretching.

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Salary Range: $50.69/Hourly
