Our client, a popular denim brand, is seeking a Technical Designer to join their team in New York!
Key Responsibilities:- Lead fit sessions
- Review samples and prototypes
- Identify fit issues and make corrections
- Evaluate balance, proportion, mobility, comfort, and silhouette
- Create fit comments with clear technical instructions for international factories
- Approve fit through all stages including proto, fit sample, sales sample, pre-production sample, and TOP sample
- Collaborate with overseas factories regarding fit comments, construction revisions, sample corrections, pattern updates, and quality concerns
- Assess vendor questions and provide solutions
- Assist factory troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and fit
- Ability to analyze fit issues and provide solutions
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience working with overseas factories and managing sample development is preferred
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, PLS systems, Microsoft Excel, Measurement specification software
- Previous knowledge with pattern making
