Position: Maintenance Mechanic - 2nd Shift (Plumbing)
Location: Hopewell Junction

Maintenance Technician

Essential duties and responsibilities:

Other duties may be assigned.

Supervises and/or performs skilled repairs to plumbing, steam lines, electric wiring and equipment, furniture, doors and windows, hardware and varied mechanical equipment and machinery.

Installs shelving, storage cabinets and new hardware, and performs other skilled carpentry tasks.

Does skilled painting work.

Maintains and repairs central heating systems.

Performs grounds maintenance and maintains athletic and playground facilities.

Makes inspections of property to ascertain repair needs.

Estimates material required for repairs.

Obtains necessary permits, including Health Department requirements.

Performs snow and ice control activities.

May keep daily time and material records.

May oversee seasonal help.
