Role Description
The Field Coordinator (Specialty Trades) is a full-time, on-site role based in Brooklyn, NY 11206, responsible for coordinating specialty trade work across residential properties in the region. This role oversees scheduling and dispatch of specialty trade vendors and contractors, ensuring work orders are accurately scoped, assigned, and completed on time and within budget. The Field Coordinator conducts site visits as needed, verifies quality and compliance with company standards and local regulations, and documents work through photos, reports, and status updates.
Day-to-day responsibilities include communicating with field crews, property managers, and internal teams, resolving issues in the field, and monitoring progress to maintain timelines and service levels. The role also involves maintaining accurate records, supporting inventory and materials management, and contributing to continuous improvement of field operations and workflows.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills, including clear verbal and written interaction with vendors, clients, and internal teams.
- Customer service abilities focused on responsiveness, issue resolution, and maintaining professional relationships with property stakeholders.
- Experience in field coordination, property maintenance, construction, or specialty trades, with familiarity in managing multiple work orders simultaneously.
- Ability to read and understand scopes of work, basic construction or renovation plans, and compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting.
- Proficiency with common office and field software (e.g., spreadsheets, scheduling tools, work order management systems, mobile apps).
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or certification in construction, maintenance, or project coordination is a plus.
- Capacity to work on-site in Brooklyn, NY, including local travel to property locations as needed.
