With trucks as its sole business, Gabrielli provides a focused environment for technicians to work with a wide range of commercial vehicles and technologies.

This is a full-time, on-site Diesel Technician role based at the Gabrielli Truck Sales location in Bronx, NY. The Diesel Technician will diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical issues on medium- and heavy-duty trucks from multiple manufacturers. Daily responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance services, conducting inspections, completing engine and drivetrain repairs, and handling brake, suspension, and exhaust system work. The role involves using diagnostic tools and software, following manufacturer and company repair standards, and accurately documenting all work performed.

The Diesel Technician will collaborate with service advisors and parts personnel, maintain a clean and safe work area, and support a high level of customer satisfaction through quality workmanship and timely service.

• Candidates should possess strong diesel engine and drivetrain skills, including experience with troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on medium- and heavy-duty trucks.
• Candidates should possess skills in using diagnostic tools, scan equipment, and service manuals to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults efficiently.
• Candidates should possess skills in performing brake, suspension, steering, and hydraulic system service and repair in accordance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Candidates should possess skills in reading and interpreting technical documents, work orders, and wiring diagrams, and in documenting repair processes accurately.
• Candidates should possess skills in safety awareness, time management, and teamwork, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a busy shop environment.
• Relevant qualifications include prior experience as a diesel or truck technician, completion of a vocational or technical program in diesel technology or automotive repair, and familiarity with OEM guidelines for brands such as Mack, Volvo, and other commercial truck manufacturers.
• Additional beneficial qualifications include ASE certifications, a valid driver's license (CDL a plus), willingness to participate in ongoing training, and the ability to meet physical demands such as lifting, standing
