Security Systems Installation, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
We’re looking for an experienced Embedded Technician to support access control and security systems at a high profile Midtown Manhattan building.
This is a hands on role for someone who can manage the building, manage their own workload, and communicate clearly with building teams and vendors.
What You’ll DoServe as the primary embedded technician on site.
Troubleshoot and maintain access control systems, doors, readers, locks, and related hardware.
Manage your own tickets from start to finish. Review the issue in the portal, diagnose the problem, and determine the next step.
Coordinate with outside vendors when an issue requires additional support.
Communicate status, next steps, and completed work clearly.
Keep detailed records and make sure issues don't get lost between teams.
Work independently while maintaining a strong relationship with building management and other onsite personnel.
Lenel/Genetec certified
Strong hands on experience with access control systems.
Experience troubleshooting door hardware, locks, readers, and related access control equipment.
Strong Service Now or similar ticket-management experience.
Highly organized and detail oriented
Strong written and verbal communication
Able to prioritize and manage your own tickets without constant direction
Comfortable coordinating with locksmiths and other outside vendors
Professional and confident working in a high-expectation corporate environment
This is an embedded position, not a typical service technician role where you're moving from site to site.
You’ll be responsible for a specific building and expected to take ownership of issues all the way through resolution. The team has high standards and expects technicians to be organized, responsive, technically capable, and able to communicate well.
