Acara Solutions is seeking an experienced Master Electrician to join Edwards Vacuum at its Genesee facility in Basom, NY. This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in the electrical infrastructure supporting advanced manufacturing and dry pump production.

The Master Electrician will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of electrical systems throughout the facility, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, automation support, and system upgrades.

This position will work closely with facilities, maintenance, engineering, and production teams to minimize downtime and ensure a safe and productive manufacturing environment.

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade electrical systems supporting production operations.
• Work with 480V, 240V, and 110V electrical systems
  .
• Support PLCs, VFDs, industrial automation, motor controls, and specialized instrumentation.
• Perform preventive and corrective electrical maintenance.
• Diagnose electrical faults using testing equipment, meters, and instrumentation.
• Use Siemens WinPM and the Building Management System to monitor and troubleshoot equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot factory automation, robotics, and motor-control systems.
• Ensure electrical work complies with NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, NFPA 70B, OSHA requirements, and applicable local codes

• Respond to electrical emergencies, equipment failures, and power-related issues.
• Evaluate electrical systems and recommend upgrades, energy-saving solutions, and efficiency improvements.
• Support energy management initiatives associated with ISO 50001
  .
• Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, installations, inspections, and modifications.
• Mentor and train maintenance personnel and junior electricians.
• Communicate technical findings and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams.

• Valid Master Electrician license required.
• At least 6 years of industrial electrical experience
  , preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safe work practices.
• Experience with PLCs, VFDs, industrial automation, and control systems
  .
• Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Experience using electrical testing equipment and instrumentation.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with CMMS systems
  .
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with maintenance, engineering, and production teams.

• Stand, walk, climb, bend, and work in confined spaces or at heights as needed.
• Work in environments that may include noise, chemicals, and varying temperatures.
