Position Overview

Infinium Wall Systems is seeking a hands‑on, field‑confident NYC Field Operations Coordinator to support demountable wall projects throughout New York City. This is a full‑time, boots‑on‑the‑ground position focused on active and upcoming NYC job sites with occasional national travel.

This role requires a strong construction background and the ability to independently represent Infinium in the field. The coordinator will obtain accurate VIFs (field measurements), diagnose site and installation issues, support installations, and clearly communicate field information back to our in‑house Project Management team.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Report to and support project sites throughout New York City for upcoming and active installations.
  • Independently obtain accurate VIFs (field measurements) and thoroughly document existing field conditions.
  • Develop and maintain full working knowledge of how to install Infinium wall systems, including system components, installation methods,sequencing, and field requirements.
  • Develop and maintain full working knowledge of Infinium door types and associated hardware, including proper installation, adjustment,troubleshooting, and field diagnosis.
  • Provide hands‑on installation support for Infinium wall systems, doors, and hardware when required.
  • Review site conditions and identify potential installation, measurement, fabrication, or coordination concerns before they impact the project.
  • Perform a thorough diagnosis of on‑site issues and relay clear, actionable information to the Production and Fabrication teams.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with the Project Management team regarding VIFs, job‑site readiness, installation progress,deficiencies, and project concerns.
  • Communicate professionally and confidently with general contractors, site superintendents, customers, installers, and other trades.
  • Troubleshoot field conditions and determine the information needed for internal teams to develop an effective solution.
  • Accurately document measurements, site conditions, deficiencies, installation issues, and relevant project details.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure field information is complete, accurate, and communicated in a timely manner.
  • Assist other field team members in site visits as needed.
  • Perform minor service calls and on site repairs. (Door speed adjustments, swapping out lever sets, drop seal repairs)
Main Requirements
  • Construction experience required; carpentry and/or glazing experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of job‑site conditions, field measurements, construction tolerances, and installation practices.
  • Ability and confidence to obtain VIFs independently without direct field supervision.
  • Ability to learn and demonstrate complete knowledge of Infinium wall systems, door types, hardware, and installation procedures.
  • Willing and able to work full time in the field throughout New York City and report directly to NYC job sites as required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to relay technical field information clearly.
  • Ability to accurately communicate field conditions and technical issues back to Project Management, Production, and Fabrication.
  • Comfortable working directly with general contractors, superintendents, customers, installers, and other construction professionals.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to fully diagnose on‑site installation and product issues.
  • Organized, dependable, self‑motivated, hands‑on, and comfortable working independently in the field.
