Diesel Technician Mid Level

Ryder System is seeking a skilled Mid-Level Diesel Technician to keep our transportation fleet running safely and efficiently. In this role, you'll perform diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and repairs on diesel trucks and trailers, including engines, brakes, electrical, and HVAC systems. You will use computerized diagnostic tools, follow safety and compliance procedures, complete work orders, and collaborate with drivers and supervisors to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, drive trains, brakes, and suspension systems
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections on trucks and trailers
• Use computerized diagnostic tools and repair software to troubleshoot issues
• Complete accurate work orders, maintenance records, and parts usage logs
• Follow all safety, environmental, and DOT compliance procedures
• Collaborate with drivers, dispatch, and supervisors to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime
• Perform basic welding, fabrication, and component replacements as needed
• Participate in ongoing technical training and certifications
