Mobile Equipment Mechanic II

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Mobile Equipment Mechanic II to maintain and repair mobile and heavy equipment used in its manufacturing operations. In this role, you will perform diagnostics, troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems, and complete preventive and corrective maintenance on loaders, haul trucks, forklifts, and plant vehicles. You will inspect equipment, document work performed, and collaborate closely with operations to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on mobile and heavy equipment to identify mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on loaders, haul trucks, forklifts, and other mobile plant equipment.
• Inspect equipment regularly to ensure safe and reliable operation in a manufacturing environment.
• Complete repairs including component replacement, adjustments, and minor welding or fabrication as needed.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders in the company's systems.
• Collaborate with operators and supervisors to schedule maintenance and minimize production downtime.
• Follow all safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and environmental standards.
• Assist in root cause analysis for recurring equipment failures and recommend improvements.
