Refrigeration Service Technician

Cool Sys, a leader in sustainable HVACR solutions, is seeking a Refrigeration Service Technician to join our Technical & Maintenance team. In this role, you'll install, troubleshoot, and maintain commercial and industrial refrigeration and HVACR systems, ensuring optimal performance and energy efficiency. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and support start-ups and retrofits while delivering excellent customer service. Responsibilities

• Install, start up, and commission commercial and light industrial refrigeration and HVAC systems for clients in the HVAC wholesale market and related sectors.
• Perform routine and emergency service, troubleshooting, and repair of refrigeration racks, reach-in and walk-in coolers/freezers, and associated HVAC equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control issues using meters, gauges, and digital tools, and implement effective, lasting repairs.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, including inspections, cleaning, adjustments, and parts replacement to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Handle refrigerants in accordance with EPA and company standards, including leak detection, recovery, evacuation, and charging procedures.
• Interpret wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and manufacturer specifications to guide installation and service activities.
• Collaborate with the Technical & Maintenance department and dispatch teams to prioritize work orders, plan routes, and meet response-time commitments.
• Document all work performed, parts used, test results, and recommendations in company systems and service applications with clear, accurate notes.
• Advise customers on system condition, repair options, and opportunities to improve energy efficiency and reduce operating costs.
• Follow all Cool
• Sys safety policies and OSHA guidelines, using proper PPE and safe work practices on every job site.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry trends, new refrigeration and HVACR technologies, and energy-efficient solutions.
• Represent Cool
• Sys professionally on customer sites, maintaining a clean work area, company vehicle, and tools while supporting a collaborative, inclusive culture.
