Job Description Experienced Technician Wanted - 5+ Years of Experience Required
Positive Pest Management has been serving New York City since 2000. We are a close-knit established pest management company specializing in Integrated Pest Management (IPM), high-volume accounts, and demanding commercial and residential clientele.
We are looking for an experienced Pest Control Technician who takes pride in doing the job correctly not just quickly.
This position is best suited for someone who understands that excellent pest control requires more than applying products. You need to know how to inspect, identify entry points, document conditions, communicate with clients, and solve the underlying problem.
What We're Looking For- 5+ years of professional pest control experience
- Strong background in IPM and high-volume accounts
- Experience working with high-end / demanding clientele
- Valid New York driver's license
- Reliable driving history
- 7A license required
- 7F license required, or willingness to obtain 7F within your first 90 days
- Strong knowledge of pest identification, inspection, exclusion, monitoring, and treatment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to identify and document entry points, conducive conditions, sanitation issues, and harborage areas
- Comfortable taking clear, useful service photos
- Ability to complete accurate and thorough service reports using a mobile pest control software
- Professional and respectful communication with customers, property managers, and building staff
- Able to remain calm and professional when dealing with difficult situations
- Willingness to listen, learn, and accept constructive feedback
- Reliable, punctual, organized, and accountable
- Comfortable working independently while also being part of a small team
- Someone who genuinely wants to continue developing their skills as a technician
We are looking for a technician who understands that good pest management starts with finding the reason the pest is there. We expect our technicians to inspect thoroughly, think critically, document their work, and communicate professionally.
If you are the type of technician who sees a pest, treats the area, and moves on without investigating the bigger picture, this probably isn't the right position for you.
If you take pride in your work, understand IPM, enjoy solving pest problems, and want to grow with an established company, we'd like to hear from you.
