Job PurposeEnersys is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Field Service Technician II to join our growing team! In this role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers' equipment operates at peak performance. You will be responsible for providing timely and effective on-site service, maintenance, and equipment repair. You will play a key role in supporting critical infrastructure, focusing on our Energy Systems solutions for telecommunications, data centers, utilities, and other essential services.
EssentialDuties And Responsibilities Field Service Expertise
- Travel to customer sites to perform basic installation, preventative maintenance, and basic repair of battery equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose common technical issues, replace defective parts, and reassemble equipment.
- Provide on-site technical assistance and training to customers on the safe operation of their equipment.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships by providing timely, efficient, and professional service.
- Effectively communicate with customers to understand their needs, explain technical details, and resolve concerns.
- Act as a liaison between the customer and the company to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including OSHA, DOT Hazmat, and ISO
9000 standards. - Operate material handling equipment safely and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Complete all required safety and compliance training.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, maintenance activities, and customer interactions.
- Complete timely reports, including service reports, expense reports, and quality alerts.
- Manage company assets, including a service vehicle, parts inventory, tools, and test equipment.
- Minimum 1 ½years of field service experience in electrical, telecom, or energy-related fields
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and test equipment (Aptitude exam is part of application process; 70% passing score required)
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as schematics and manuals.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record for insurability.
- Availability to work non-standard hours in a 24/7 work week.
