Hose Assembly Technician

• Drive a fully outfitted PIRTEK mobile service van across Staten Island and greater NYC area
• Respond to on-site breakdowns, routinely on an emergency basis
• Diagnose, replace, and install hydraulic and industrial hoses
• Service marine equipment, tugboats, shipyards, construction equipment, industrial machinery, and machines
• Perform machine servicing and cylinder repair
• Participate in the on-call rotation, including nights and weekends
• Communicate with customers, explain problems, and outline repairs
• Maintain the truck, tools, and paperwork
• Help a small business owner grow their local PIRTEK business
• Provide fast hydraulic and industrial hose maintenance and replacement services for essential industries

• Mechanical inclination; experience with cars, boats, heavy equipment, or machines is helpful but not required
• Ability to work with hands and solve problems
• Ability to remain calm when customers are stressed and machinery is down
• Clear communication with customers and teammates
• Respect for safety processes
• Comfortable with dirt, grease, tight spaces, and standing
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass a background check and drug check
• Ability to work nights and weekends
• Legally authorized to work in the US

Demonstrates mechanical inclination and problem-solving abilities while providing hydraulic and industrial hose maintenance services. Communicates effectively with customers and maintains safety standards in a mobile service environment.
