Operating Engineer

What this job involves:

Develop your engineering career at JLL!

The Operating Engineer supports operation, inspection and maintenance processes to mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems.

Schedule: 3pm to 11:00 pm Wednesday to Sunday

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Complete assigned tasks that include but are not limited to: painting, pressure washing, maintaining lighting system bulbs/ballasts, plumbing, HVAC systems, water treatment, locksmith work and general maintenance (as allowed by any licensing requirements)

• Maintain work order system (CMMS) daily and complete any tenant service requests

• Perform assigned preventive maintenance and inspection tasks

• Support on-call or emergency response situations (if applicable)

• Troubleshoot all building systems, including electrical, DDC and pneumatic controls

• Comply with all safety procedures

• Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs

• Other projects and tasks to be assigned

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of related work experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry

• Trade school education, union training, military service, or college degree required

• Universal CFC EPA certification

• Certificate of Fitness Q-01/Q-99 (Refrigerating System Operating Engineer), A-35 (Operate and Maintain Air Compressors), P-98 (Fuel Oil Piping and Storage System), and S-12, S-13, S-14 (Sprinkler and Standpipe Systems)

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and use ladders up to 30 feet tall

• Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift, and/or drive

• Strong customer service and communication skills

Compensation hourly $53

This position operates under the Local 94 Collective Bargaining Agreement.

This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Expected compensation for this position:

–  USD per year

Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
