Role Description The Body Tech will perform hands-on collision repair and bodywork on a variety of vehicles, including structural and non-structural repairs. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing damage, disassembling and reassembling vehicle components, straightening frames, repairing and replacing panels, and preparing surfaces for refinishing. The Body Tech will follow repair orders, use appropriate tools and equipment, and adhere to safety standards and manufacturer specifications.

This role also involves collaborating with estimators, painters, and other team members to ensure accurate repairs and timely completion of work. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Clarkstown International Collision in Nanuet, NY.

Qualifications

• Strong auto body repair skills, including dent repair, panel replacement, and structural/frame straightening.
• Proficiency with collision repair tools and equipment such as welders, measuring systems, and hydraulic frame machines.
• Ability to read and follow repair orders, technical manuals, and OEM repair procedures.
• Attention to detail in fit, finish, and alignment, with a focus on safety and quality standards.
• Experience working in an auto body or collision repair shop; formal training or certification (e.g., I-CAR, ASE) is a plus.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with vehicle systems that may be affected by collision damage.
• Good time management skills and ability to handle multiple repairs while meeting deadlines.
• Commitment to safe work practices and maintaining a clean, organized work area.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work cooperatively with estimators, painters, and office staff.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
