Full-Time W-2 Position | Monday–Friday | Year-Round Work

$33–$45 per hour, based on experience, plus performance bonuses

Are you an experienced cabinet installer who can take a kitchen from layout through final adjustments and punch-list completion?

Kitchen Tune-Up Brooklyn North is hiring a skilled Lead Cabinet Installer and Finish Carpenter to join our growing team. We offer steady, year-round residential kitchen projects throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan, organized project support and the opportunity to take ownership of your installations.

This is a lead-level position for someone with professional kitchen cabinet installation experience. It is not an entry-level carpentry role.

• Independently install complete residential kitchens from plans and elevations
• Install framed and frameless cabinetry
• Lay out cabinetry and ensure everything is level, plumb, square and properly aligned
• Install fillers, finished panels, scribes, toe kicks, crown moulding and decorative trim
• Perform cabinet refacing and cabinet modifications when required
• Install handles, hinges, rollouts, pull-outs and cabinet accessories
• Make accurate field cuts and solve installation challenges professionally
• Lead a helper or second installer when assigned
• Protect customers’ homes and maintain a clean, organized job site
• Communicate daily progress, material needs and job-site concerns to the project coordinator
• Complete final adjustments and punch-list work to a high professional standard

• At least three years of professional kitchen cabinet installation experience
• Strong finish-carpentry and problem-solving skills
• Ability to independently install a complete kitchen without constant supervision
• Ability to read cabinet plans, elevations and installation drawings
• Experience installing crown moulding, fillers, panels, scribes and trim
• Ability to accurately measure, cut, level, shim and modify cabinetry in the field
• Professional appearance and respectful communication with homeowners
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to travel daily to job sites throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan
• Legal authorization to work in the United States
• Everyday professional hand and power tools

Kitchen Tune-Up provides project materials and specialty equipment as required.
