Job Requirements:Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of previous technical experience with Class 8 Commercial Tractors and Trailers.
- Air Brake Systems Certification.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot repairs using diagnostic systems
- ASE Certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of air, electronic, braking, and suspension systems as well as general mechanical operation and/or light body repair
- Familiar with FHWA (Federal Highway Administration), and FMCSR (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations), BIT (Basic Inspection of Terminals) inspections
- High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
- Must be able to lift 70 pounds
- Candidate must provide his/her own tools.
Job Description:Work Schedule
- Monday
- Friday - Work 8:00am-4:00pm; work until work is completed. Typically 8-10 hours per day.
- Some overnight travel to service locations (primarily Western New York) based on business needs.
- Work schedule may change based on business needs; must be flexible with work schedule.
Responsibilities - Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform preventative and as-needed maintenance of diesel trucks and electronic vehicles
- Properly operate the mobile service truck and attend to truck inventory
- Interpret and follow work orders and technical manuals
- Travel to locations to perform on-site diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with management, providing them with detailed breakdowns of service requirements and costs.
- Maintain schedules and document completed preventative maintenance and repairs
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance; ensure work meets manufacturer's specifications according to FMCSR (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations)
- Maintaining parts and yard organization (with direction from operations management) to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
Wage Range: $38 per hour - $38.01 per hour Hourly USDGeneral Description of Benefits:
