Salary: $55,000.00 Annually

Elmcor seeks a building superintendent who will perform daily and routine cleaning of the building's interior and exterior spaces, keeping the building clean and aesthetically pleasing. Preforming maintenance work. Handling repair work, such as fixing faulty pipes, changing locks and painting, to include basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and heating and air conditioning work as well as some carpentry work. Applicant must live within 200 feet from the facility, located at 104-10 Northern Blvd, Corona, NY 11368.

We offer a rental subsidy in lieu of a live-in apartment on-site. Hours will be from 7 am to 4 pm, with a one-hour lunch and response to emergency calls after hours.

Core duties and responsibilities include the following.

• Familiar with all NYC Sanitation Multi Unit Building Regulations.
• Familiar with all FDNY regulations and requirement for Building.
• Strong Preference for candidate that poses Fire and Emergency Drill Conductor and Fire Guarg.
• Certifications, or willing to obtain within the first 4 months of hire.
• Maintains inspection logs for sprinkler systems, fire extinguishers and other building systems as required by state and federal law.
• Conducts regular preventative maintenance on items throughout the interior and exterior of the building.
• Takes packing and delivery slips to the building manager.
• Responds to tenant requests for repairs and keeps a journal of completed work.
• Inspects vacant units and prepares them for rental.
• Keeps all spaced in the building common areas, basement, offices and the grounds cleaned daily and as needed.
• Must be able to deal effectively with tenants.
• Time will be spent walking all over the property, including up and down stairs.
• Must be willing to work odd hours including nights and weekends.

• High school diploma.
• Must pass criminal background check as well as a drug test.

• Must be able to kneel and crouch or climb tall ladders.
