Are you an experienced Operations Manager with a background in mechanical contracting, plumbing, HVAC, boiler services, facilities, or industrial service operations
?
We are partnering with a highly respected,
family-owned commercial boiler services company with more than 80 years of success
. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, coordinate field and office activities, and help ensure projects and service work are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on operations professional who understands the service trades and enjoys managing people, solving problems, coordinating manpower, and keeping customers informed

- Manage day-to-day field and office operations
- Schedule and coordinate service calls, repairs, maintenance, and projects
- Coordinate technicians, manpower, materials, and equipment
- Monitor job schedules, budgets, productivity, and project timelines
- Support job costing, work orders, invoicing, and documentation
- Communicate with commercial and industrial customers regarding job status and scheduling
- Troubleshoot operational and field issues to minimize delays and downtime
- Assist with purchasing materials, parts, tools, and equipment
- Oversee fleet and facility operations
- Maintain compliance with OSHA requirements, company safety standards, and applicable industry codes
- Work closely with technicians, office staff, customers, vendors, and company leadership
- 5+ years of operations, management, or supervisory experience within mechanical contracting, plumbing, HVAC, industrial services, facilities, or a related skilled‑trades environment
- OR strong plumbing/mechanical experience combined with property management, facilities oversight, and staff management experience
- Commercial boiler experience is a strong plus
- Working knowledge of mechanical systems, boilers, plumbing, HVAC, or related equipment preferred
- Experience coordinating field technicians, service calls, projects, or maintenance operations
- Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable working directly with customers, technicians, vendors, and management
- Familiarity with work order, scheduling, and job management software
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
