About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and certified Senior HVAC Technician to join their dynamic team in George . This role focuses on the installation, maintenance, and repair of complex heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for commercial properties. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of various HVAC systems, strong diagnostic skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional service. You will play a key role in ensuring the comfort and operational efficiency of commercial buildings, working independently and as part of a dedicated service team, contributing to a client-focused environment that values technical expertise and reliability in the Western Cape region.
Key Responsibilities- Install, service, and repair a wide range of commercial HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, air handlers, and control systems.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal system performance and longevity.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex HVAC system malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing effective repairs.
- Read and interpret HVAC schematics , blueprints, and technical manuals to guide installation and repair processes.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with industry standards and environmental regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians and assist with training initiatives.
- Certification as a qualified HVAC Technician with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in working with commercial-grade HVAC equipment, refrigerants, and control systems.
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles relevant to HVAC systems.
- Ability to diagnose and repair complex system failures efficiently.li>
- Excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are essential for service calls in the George area.
