Location: New York
Delaware Opportunities, Inc. is seeking a full‑time Housing Advocate to assist homeless and at-risk households in securing and maintaining stable housing. The ideal candidate is reliable, hardworking, and able to advocate for clients in a non‑judgmental manner while working both independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree and/or 4 years experience in human services
- Ability to relate well to individuals from low-income households
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Integrity, reliability, and professionalism
- 35 hours per week
- Pay range: $23.39 - $27.90 per hour
- Monday - Friday
- Assist homeless and at-risk households in securing and maintaining stable housing
- Conduct client intakes and comprehensive assessments
- Develop individualized housing action plans
- Coordinate supportive services including employment, childcare, and transportation
- Conduct regular client contact and maintain accurate monthly documentation
Maintain complete and accurate client files - Enter program data and billing information
- Prepare required reports in a timely manner
- Attend regular staff meetings
- Perform additional duties as assigned
