JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position is funded by the U.S Economic Development Agency under the Good Jobs Challenge Initiative. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Good Jobs Challenge was created to meet the needs of both American workers and industry by breaking down silos in workforce training systems. By bringing workforce stakeholders together in every step of the process, the Good Jobs Challenge is placing people into quality jobs and spurring equitable economic growth.
You will work with clients, securing sustainable paid employment in line with their program training. You will provide person centered advice and guidance to clients, while building positive relationships with local employers to enable clients to move into suitable employment.
Responsibilities- Meet and support clients to understand their key skills, aspirations, and goals through completing a Vocational Profile and produce an Action Plan to help them obtain and sustain competitive employment. This includes support with their job search, CV production, application forms, interview techniques and career development.
- Source job opportunities for clients through job searches and contact with employers and agencies.
- Assisting in the organization of job fairs and info sessions at HRA provider sites.
- Once employment has been secured continue to provide quality service through effective monitoring and in-work support to clients and employers to help sustain employment.
- Build and maintain employer relationships and maintain employer engagement database.
- Arrange regular meetings with clients to monitor and review progress pre- and post-employment.

- MS Office, including Word and Excel.
- Two years of experience in case management, career counseling, or social work.
- Some travel will be required to employer sites. All sites are located throughout the five boroughs.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Career Advisement, Education, or comparable work-related experience.
Salary$60,075
HoursSome flexibility with hours; position may require a hybrid model of in-office hours and working in the field.
