Position: Senior Director Domestic Violence Residential Programs - New York, New York

Overview

Masters in Social Work required. Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) Required. Oversight of domestic violence shelters. Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state and local regulations as well as agency and program policies. Develop and implement consistent standards, policies, procedures and practices regarding shelter management, client services and other agency protocols. Work with supervisor and program leaders to ensure consistency, collaboration and complementary services between sites and programs.

Participate in the development and ensure appropriate implementation of systems and strategies that facilitate maximum resident utilization of shelter. Create and monitor budgets, and manage billing. Maintain accurate and consistent data collection and analysis for reporting and documentation. Oversee all domestic violence shelter clinical services to ensure appropriate service delivery, including group supervision of the social workers, child therapists and other clinical staff, where appropriate.

Assist with incident report management and reviewing client charts. Conduct ongoing record keeping and client file management for quality assurance and audit preparation, in collaboration with the QIET team. Train staff on contract outcomes and goals, reporting requirements, and client file management and data collection systems. Supervise program staff, monitor outcomes, and develop and implement strategies to enhance performance. Lead, develop and implement staff training in line with identified standards and practices that are client-centered, culturally competent, and trauma-informed, in collaboration with the QIET team.

Manage contracts and budget and develop reports. Increase the agency’s visibility by engaging in activities such as, but not limited to, conference presentations and/or other speaking engagements. Partner with the Development staff in a wide range of activities, including but not limited to preparation of grant proposals, presentations to prospective or current donors/funders, and hosting site visits for current or prospective donors/funders.

Partner with the Marketing/Communications staff in responding to media inquiries, which may include giving interviews for print, radio or television audiences, and participating in the development of materials designed to increase the public's awareness of the organization or educate the public on domestic violence. Supervise interns and volunteers. Attend meetings facilitated by HUD, HRA and the NYC Coalition of the Continuum of Care.

Represent the agency on coalitions, taskforces, working groups and committees. Special projects and other duties as assigned.
