Organization Overview

The Goddard Riverside Community Center (Goddard Riverside) and the Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center (Isaacs Center) are well-established Manhattan community-based agencies that support services to approximately 30,000 New Yorkers. They are two of New York City’s leading human services organizations meeting the needs of children, youth and families, homeless individuals, and older adults throughout Manhattan and New York City. They work every day for a fair and just society where all people have the opportunity to make choices that lead to better lives for themselves and their families.

The Isaacs Center focuses primarily on the needs of children and low‑income families, out‑of‑school and out‑of‑work youth, and aging New Yorkers. The organization operates at community centers located in the neighborhoods of East Harlem and Yorkville, and seeks to deliver programs that are impactful, innovative, and intergenerational.

Goddard Riverside is excited to announce that the agency is diving back into settlement roots and becoming a resource to asylum seekers in New York City. The newest endeavor is a sanctuary site for asylum‑seeking families. This site will be a place where families can feel safe, receive resources and support, and become acclimated to and part of the community.

The role is to serve as lead Resident Assistant (RA) for the scheduled shift and is responsible for assuring the general welfare and safety of the residents, staff, and the facility. The Senior RA is expected to ensure quality service deliverables by overseeing the daily residential services and inspections, in order to ensure that all residents’ goals, targets, and performance outcomes are met on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.

• Sunday-Thursday 11pm-7am
• Tuesday-Saturday 11pm-7am

Bilingual: $45,000–$47,000
Non‑bilingual: $43,000–$45,000

Applicants must have the required qualifications to be considered for the position. The salary offer will be based on the candidate’s number of years of experience in the exact or comparable position, and additional preferred qualifications will be taken into account.
