Location: Green Street
The Employment Services Manager ensures that best practices and compliances are being met while promoting the growth of participants, employment services and staff within the community.
Responsibilities- Develop short and long‑term employment strategic plans that support the mission and vision of the organization.
- Identify, apply for, procure and fulfill grants, contracts and other funding sources that support employment outcomes.
- Establish the organization as a network employer through the Ticket to Work program and network with business communities to support integration and employment outcomes.
- Directly responsible for administrative and operational aspects of employment programs and services, including contractual and fiscal compliance, staffing, budgeting, marketing, legislative advocacy, strategic planning, contract negotiations and external agency relations.
- Ensure standardization, best practices and quality in Employment Services by developing and maintaining related policies and procedures, including CARF requirements and other state requirements.
- Adhere to timely and accurate contract compliance, coordinate and submit required reports for internal or external requirements, facilitate effective communications and coordination among all programs/departments and external partners.
- Attend public hearings and participate in legislative advocacy and education as appropriate.
- Provide leadership and managerial support for Employment Services, supervise, support and mentor staff members to ensure performance measures meet or exceed expectations, recruit, interview, orient and train staff, and complete performance evaluations.
- Encourage self‑determination and participation in employment related activities for all consumers and provide or refer consumers to resources that support financial education, benefits planning, tax information, banking, budgeting and asset development.
- Teach, train and coach Employment Specialists to meet employment outcomes and provide individualized employability skills training as required.
- Assist in HR related responsibilities as it pertains to Employment Services under the direction of HR/ HCBS Director/Statewide Employment Services Program Manager.
- Participate in continuing education and in‑service training to maintain and advance skills and techniques.
- Master’s Degree in a related field (e.g., Rehabilitation Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, Education) with one year of full‑time employment working with individuals with disabilities; or Bachelor’s Degree with three years of full‑time employment; or High School Diploma or G.E.D. with seven years of full‑time employment.
- Five years experience working with persons with employment barriers to find and maintain gainful employment in the community.
- Three years experience working with persons with behavioral challenges in community settings.
- Successful contract management experience.
- Valid driver’s license, insurable driving record, and ability to drive personal vehicle to transport participants if designated as a driver.
- Knowledgeable of Federal and State laws, regulations and rules pertaining to employing persons with disabilities; familiarity with ADA guidelines and inclusion practices.
- Working knowledge of individuals with disabilities, including developmental disabilities, and sensitivity to culturally, linguistically and economically diverse populations.
- Commitment to the values of the organization and good judgment, flexibility, patience and discretion in handling confidential matters.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and ability to use an iPhone or work cell phone if applicable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; frequent proofreading and checking documents for accuracy.
- Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, twisting and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs during client visits.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time, including standing 6–8 hours a day.
- Frequent driving to and from office and client homes; use of computer and cell phone for effective communication.
- Frequent speaking and listening (50%) to clients, staff and other professionals in meetings and on the phone.
- Occasional exposure to emergency situations, trauma and client contact requiring concentration and decision making.
- Maintain criminal record clearance through the Department of Justice (DOJ) and Office of Inspector General as required.
- Pass health screenings, obtain vaccinations and clear TB testing based on company policies.
- Obtain and maintain CPR certification, Safety Care certification, CAQH credential, NPI number and other required certifications.
- Retraining through required training sessions as assigned.
Full time. $80,000.00 to $90,000.00 annually.
