DSP Day Program - Boroughs

Job Description

AHRC New York City is seeking Full and Part‑Time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for their Adult Day Programs in All Five Boroughs.

Schedule:

Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 3:30 pm (35 hours per week).

Pay rate: $18 per hour plus a very generous and comprehensive benefit packet which includes free medical insurance paid by company at no cost to you.

Bonuses:

• $2,000 upon completion and passing of AHRC Defensive Driving class
• $2,000 upon completion of AMAP training

• Support individuals with disabilities in leading self‑directed lives and becoming active members of their communities.
• Oversee all safety and health considerations.

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).

• Personal and/or professional experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
• Knowledge of Home and Community Based Waiver and ability to stay updated on related regulations.
• Understanding of Person‑Centered Planning.
• Reasonable flexibility in work hours and ability to respond to scheduling needs.
• Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with program participants, families, staff, and community agencies.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
• High School diploma or GED is preferred.
