The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Tenancy Support Officer looking to make a real difference to people’s lives, homes and communities across Wales.

The role will cover Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan in South Wales.

You will have a genuine passion and interest in what we do as an organisation, excellent listening and communication skills, strong oral and written communication, organisational skills and confidence in decision making. You will be able to provide tenants with support to sustain their tenancies, maximise income and offer assistance with money management, debt, and benefit advice.

• Provide effective tenancy support and assist residents with debt, welfare reform issues, benefit advice.
• Engage with residents, keep officers updated via the ICT housing system.
• Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and use resident feedback.
• Attend schemes/sites and visit residents, requiring a valid driving licence and vehicle.
• Support tenants to sustain tenancies, maximise income, and manage debt.

• Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Excellent listening, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and make confident decisions.
• Experience in person-centred support, especially in relation to rent, debt, and money advice.
• Capability to use the ICT housing system.
• Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing needs.

Successful candidates will be required to undertake a DBS check.
