Associate Family Team Conference Facilitator OBJECTIVES

Reporting to the Director of Programs, the Staff, Programs – Associate Family Team Conference Facilitator (AFTCF) is responsible for coordinating and guiding structured meetings that bring together families, child welfare staff, and service providers to collaboratively develop safety-focused plans that support children’s well-being and promote family stability. The AFTCF serves as a neutral facilitator, ensuring that families are meaningfully engaged, respected, and empowered throughout the process.

This is an entry-level to early-career role ideal for professionals seeking experience in child welfare, social services, or family advocacy.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare and generate monthly reports to track due dates for all required conferences.
  • Schedule all required conferences for families assigned to the team in accordance with established timelines.
  • Facilitate conferences in alignment with the designed planning conference type and specific objectives.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation of all conferences and upload required records into the system within 48 hours.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport and support families in discussing sensitive and confidential matters.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related human service field.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word – Required.
