Location: New York

We are seeking a Residence Manager to join our (CCR) program  Residence Manager will be responsible for providing supervision and support to all direct care staff (Youth Counselors and Recreations Specialist). The Residence Manager will also ensure that the residents are cared for in a safe and therapeutic environment, are adequately supervised and have therapeutic recreational programs. Participates in hiring the direct care staff members, supervises, trains, and evaluates the performance of direct care staff.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions of Position
  • Creates a warm, supportive home-like environment by maintaining a clean and hazard free facility in compliance with all agency and governmental standards. Inspects the residence, monitors maintenance needs and reports to Program Director as needed.
  • Ensures that the basic needs of all residents are met– including food, clothing and proper care. Oversees the implementation of daily routines, to encourage appropriate activities for daily living, including adherence to personal hygiene, school attendance, mealtimes, studying and bedtime.
  • Ensure that each shift and staff have clear responsibilities to promote the safety and well-being of the youths. For example; daily fire safety checks; meal prep, inventory etc.
  • Model positive interaction between staff members and children/family. Supervise and monitor all counselors’ interactions with the children and families.
  • Provide consistent weekly/bi-weekly individual and group supervision for all direct care staff. Ensure supervises have support, knowledge, skills, and tools to be successful in their jobs.
  • Responsible for conducting supervisions for staff.
  • Ensure that all in-house documentation is complete.
  • Ensure staff receives appropriate training.
  • Ensure staff follow the dress code policy. Hold staff accountable.
  • Ensure recreational activities are consistent with support plan goals and offer therapeutic support.
  • Conduct monthly fire drills and complete appropriate paperwork.
  • Provide clients with counseling and support. Use strengths based, trauma sensitive intervention, communication and practices to build relationships with residents.
  • Attend interdisciplinary team meetings and attend meetings, including but not limited to intake, incident review, utilization planning, and service plan review.
  • Promote family involvement. When necessary, accompany, supervise and provide transportation for appointments, home visits, sibling visits, and activities.
  • Completes bi-weekly payroll for all staff members stationed at residence.
  • Facilitates team meetings with staff to review relevant policies and procedures.
  • Manages and directly reconciles the petty cash fund in compliance with petty cash policy. Ensures the security of cash and proper disbursement of funds.
  • Ensure adherence to medication therapy regime through monitoring of staff compliance with medication policies and procedures.
  • Directly oversees the distribution of the residents’ personal needs allowances and meets monthly with residents to review money management skills. Maintains records in compliance with the Social Security Administration reporting requirements.
  • Responsible for managing all accounts payable related documentation to ensure proper functioning of the household, including purchasing of food, household goods, and office supplies through authorized vendors; understanding and complying with purchasing thresholds for other purchasing; and ensuring proper documentation is completed prior to the use of independent contractors.
  • Timely submission of invoices.
  • Timely submission of work orders
  • Responds to all emergencies and provides crisis management, including 24-hour/7 days per week on-call duties and emergency shift coverage as needed.
  • Report incidents and ensure timely completion of incident reports.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Valid NYS driver's license required.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of professional experience providing childcare or working in a child-centered environment.
  • Must obtain the S95, and F07 Certification within 3 months of employment.
  • First Aide Certification within 6 months of employment required.
