Position Overview

Project FIND, in partnership with the All Stars Project, is seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and community focused Summer Community Engagement & Digital Media Intern to support programming, outreach, and engagement initiatives for older adults. This internship is designed to provide meaningful workplace experience while fostering intergenerational relationships between youth and older adults.

Intergenerational Programming

The temporary position will support programs that bring older adults and youth together through shared learning experiences. Foster meaningful relationships through recreational, educational, technology-based, and social engagement activities designed to reduce isolation and strengthen community connections.

Social Media & Digital Storytelling

Create content for Tik Tok, Instagram, Facebook, and other digital platforms. Develop videos, photographs, and stories highlighting older adults, staff members, and Project FIND programs. Assist with awareness campaigns and digital storytelling projects. Featured Project:
Help develop and facilitate a Tik Tok Dance & Movement Program for older adults that promotes creativity, wellness, technology confidence, and intergenerational engagement.

Older Adult Center Support

Assist with meal service, hospitality, participant engagement, recreational activities, wellness programming, room setup, and special events. Help create a welcoming environment for older adult participants.

Tech Café Programming

Assist older adults with smartphones, tablets, and computers. Support digital literacy workshops, technology troubleshooting, and intergenerational technology learning opportunities.

Qualifications

Current high school or college student. Interest in communications, marketing, social work, nonprofit management, technology, education, or community engagement. Strong communication skills and comfort working with older adults preferred.

Supervision & Mentorship

The intern will receive direct supervision from Project FIND’s Brand Manager. The Executive Director will provide weekly check-in sessions focused on leadership development, workplace communication, professional growth, and career exploration. Interns will also participate in workforce development opportunities offered through the All Stars Project partnership.

Schedule

9:00AM - 5:00PM, Monday - Friday with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break.
