ACES Youth Supervisor
Job SummaryCASES is seeking a dedicated Supervisor to lead our Assertive Community Engagement & Success (ACES) program, serving young men ages 16–24 in Harlem and the Bronx who are impacted by the criminal legal system. In this role, you’ll supervise and mentor youth workers and a parent advocate, hire and train new staff, develop programming with clear milestones, and stay actively engaged in the field alongside your team.
You’ll promote staff competence through coaching in motivational interviewing, trauma‑informed care, youth development, and CBT‑based groups, while ensuring timely data entry, up‑to‑date case records, and strong safety protocols. This position offers a chance to drive social change, support young people toward stability and growth, and contribute to a mission grounded in justice, equity, and community.
What you will be doing- Supervise and support youth workers across the ACES program, including individual weekly supervision, regular work in the field, and as‑needed case conferences
- Hire and train new Youth Workers
- Hire, supervise and support a Parent Advocate
- Establish professional development opportunities for youth workers and focus on CBT, relevant groups and workshops, delivering effective services to youth in ACES
- Promote staff development and competence through training, coaching and structured supervision in motivational interviewing, youth development, engagement, young adult learning, and trauma‑informed care
- Engage with Data Analyst to support accurate and timely data entry by the team
- Collaborate with ACES supervisors to ensure consistent programming across boroughs
- Develop programming with milestones and standards in mind
- Ensure assessments and database case records are up‑to‑date
- Support and enhance safety plans and protocols
- Support team and program culture
- Collaborate with Director to support community referrals
- Attend internal and external meetings as needed, including funders, court stakeholders and other relevant partners
- Conduct weekly supervision with direct reports
- Meet with Director weekly for supervision
- Plan and attend trips with youth workers and participants
- Take on case load if necessary
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience or 5 years of youth work experience with youth and young adults impacted by the criminal legal system
- Active/valid driver's license and ability to drive a 15‑passenger van
- Deep passion for working with youth and young adults impacted by the criminal legal system
- A willingness to be in the field alongside youth workers
- A belief that participants, community members and team members have the ability and capacity for change
- Strong communication skills, including a strong command of Microsoft Office
- A commitment to the team to support them through difficult moments and celebrate the beautiful moments
- All team members will wear ACES logo apparel during work hours provided by CASES
- Fluency in Spanish (a plus)

Shift
Hours:
Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (35 hours per week, excluding breaks)
Workplace Flexibility:
Flexible; for roles that can be partially remote (e.g., drafting notes at home after attending the office/community in the morning)
Salary: $80,000.00 per year
