Parent Advocate Coordinator - Full-time position at Heart Share, located at 66 Boerum Place, Brooklyn, NY 11201. This role reports directly to the foster care team and supports over 280 families.

Shift: Day
- Supervise and support a team of advocates, promoting professional development, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Assist with managing workflow processes and ensure Parent Advocates adhere to the 90‑Day Parent Empowerment Parent (PEP) module.
- Provide guidance to Parent Advocates supporting parents in navigating separation challenges.
- Build and maintain relationships with community‑based organizations and other stakeholders to enhance service delivery.
- Assist with case assignment for new admissions and coordinate scheduling of Parent‑to‑Parent meetings.
- Maintain a tracking system to ensure Advocates document interactions in the Connections database.
- Ensure families are informed about their rights and available resources.
- Support communication between parents and the case‑planning team to promote understanding and collaboration.
- Co‑facilitate bi‑weekly team meetings between the Case Planning team and Parent Advocates to engage parents.
- Conduct reviews of progress notes and provide guidance as needed.
- Ensure Parent Advocates attend and participate in critical case conferences.
- Assist with creating and implementing ideas that celebrate parents and host related events and activities.
- Develop and facilitate training sessions for advocates and parents/families on relevant topics.
- Co‑facilitate quarterly parent round‑table meetings and participate in stakeholder meetings.
- Perform other related duties as assigned, within the scope of the role.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree in a related Human Services field preferred.
- Lived experience as a parent impacted by child welfare (ACS or Preventive Services) with case closed for at least 1 year.
- Travel flexibility: ability to travel within all 5 NYC boroughs and willingness to travel outside of NYC.
- Willingness and demonstrated capacity to teach, train, and effectively manage/lead two worksites.
- Ability to meet deadlines, deescalate, and manage crisis situations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook/Office and familiarity with Connections preferred.
- Preferable familiarity with OCFS/ACS regulations and Family Court.
- Good strategic and critical thinking, writing, organizational, leadership, and communication skills with keen attention to detail.
- Integrity, driven, and willingness to work with children, youth, families, and in a team‑oriented setting.
- Works both independently and collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Able to create and maintain appropriate professional boundaries.
