As a Recreation Advisor, you’ll be at the heart of student life—designing and leading activities that promote wellness, teamwork, and personal growth. This isn’t just about games and events; it’s about building confidence, encouraging healthy lifestyles, and creating a positive community.
Schedule- Full Time position – 40 hours per week.
- Option 1:
Wednesday‑Friday 3:00p.m. – 12a.m.;
Saturday and Sunday 10:00a.m. – 7:00p.m.;
Monday and Tuesday off. - Option 2:
Wednesday‑Sunday 3:00p.m. – 12a.m.;
Monday and Tuesday off.
- Supervise and coordinate center activities to ensure a safe, structured, and supportive student environment.
- Work with staff members to promote positive student behavior and engagement.
- Monitor campus safety, respond to incidents, and enforce policies.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to students, helping them develop life and career skills.
- Collaborate with different departments to maintain a productive and goal‑oriented atmosphere.
- Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience in working with youth, supervision (Job Corps or similar setting preferred).
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.

- Follow all integrity guidelines and procedures and ensure no manipulation of student data.
- Assist with the supervision of a comprehensive and diverse recreation program.
- Coordinate recreation activities with CPP and Social Development to include evening programming.
- Coordinate recreation and leadership activities/programs with Center and local community resources.
- Ensure safe practices and program compliance within prescribed safety guidelines.
- Document student participation and accountability during recreation activities.
- Maintain inventory of equipment and material and control its use; recommend purchase of specific equipment; perform repairs on equipment as needed.
- Be responsible for the overall appearance, condition, and organization of the recreation department facilities.
- May oversee the student recreation aide program.
- Produce quality work/assignments in a thorough, timely, and accurate manner.
- Maintain appropriate personal attendance, accountability, and work productivity standards.
- Plan, prioritize, and organize assignments to meet established goals and deadlines.
- Understand and apply job knowledge to effectively complete all required job responsibilities.
- Proactively maintain the skills required to perform job duties.
- Mentor, monitor, and model the Career Success Standards as required by PRH.
- Provide high‑quality supervision and management for the student population and positively influence student behavior; show respect and courtesy to students and hold them accountable for their actions and behavior.
- Provide timely operational support for Center operations to ensure quality programs and services and pursue improvement in Center operations to fulfill program objectives.
- Exchange ideas and information, both orally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner and contribute meaningfully to group efforts by offering relevant ideas and knowledge.
- Provide quality and timely information to DOL/Company when requested.
- Identify problems, analyze causes, and evaluate appropriate solutions prior to taking or recommending actions.
- Follow up to ensure prompt/appropriate action is taken and that problems are in fact corrected.
- Work in partnership with staff from all departments to ensure effective supervision and services are provided to students.
- Accept direction and supervision from the Center Director/Center Duty Officer/Shift Manager, including assignments to temporarily perform job responsibilities of other departments and positions.
- Other duties as assigned.
