RoleWe seek part‑time Hospitality Center Staff to join our Hospitality Center Network at the Wyoming Correctional Facility in Attica, NY. The position welcomes individuals and families visiting correctional facilities and provides general oversight of the Hospitality Center during visiting hours. This role requires clearance by the New York State Department of Correction and Community Supervision (DOCCS); candidates must obtain and maintain DOCCS clearance.
WorkingHours and Compensation
Working hours:
exclusive weekends – Saturdays and Sundays 7:30 am to 11:30 am – and four holidays annually. Salary: $18.00 hourly.
- Greet visitors and assist with signing in and understanding visiting procedures, redirecting those at the wrong facility or on ineligible days.
- Record required daily data in a log and communicate it to the supervisor and DOCCS authorities as appropriate.
- Assist with visiting emergencies and relay information to the supervisor, correctional authorities, and others as needed.
- Respond to general inquiries about program information.
- Disseminate resource information approved by the facility Deputy Superintendent for Programs to visitors.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment in accordance with infection and safety control policies.
- Report all physical plant problems to the supervisor and prison authorities when appropriate.
- Maintain inventory and coordinate purchases with the Regional Program Supervisor and Program Coordinator.
- In‑person attendance is required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
