New Alternatives for Children, Inc. (NAC), located in midtown Manhattan, is an award-winning not-for-profit agency dedicated to serving children and families with medical complexities, chronic illnesses, and disabilities throughout the five boroughs. To assist in achieving this mission, NAC is currently seeking a Saturday Per Diem Case Associate to join our Specialized Family Foster Care Program.
The team in the foster care department works with children, families and foster families to ensure safety, permanency and well-being for youth in foster care. The Saturday Per Diem Case Associate is an essential member of the foster care team who supports families by escorting children to visits as needed, and supervising those visits at our Manhattan office location and in the community.
The Saturday Per Diem Case Associate reports information to the case planning team both verbally and by documenting all activities in a statewide electronic case record database. The Saturday Per Diem Case Associate must be available to work on Saturdays from 9:30 to 4:30.

- Salary Range: $30 per hour
- Department/Program: Specialized Family Foster Care
- Supervise family visits at NAC's 53rd Street location, in the community, and virtually, acting as a visiting coach promoting quality family time and ensuring safety.
- Transport children as needed.
- Document all work activities within prescribed time frames in the electronic case record.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree; BSW preferred
- Prior experience working with families in a child welfare setting preferred
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and engagement skills
- Ability to multi-task and work independently
- Bilingual Spanish is preferred
