Student Advocate

We are seeking a versatile, compassionate student advocate to join our team. We are open to hiring a School Counselor, School Psychologist, or School Social Worker. While your daily focus will align with your specific NYSED certification, your overarching goal will be to support our students' social, emotional, and academic success. You will work closely with teachers, administrators, and local families to help build a supportive community.

Core Responsibilities (For All Licensures)

• Direct Student Support:
  Provide individual and small-group counseling for students navigating grief, anxiety, behavior challenges, or academic stress.
• Crisis Response:
  Serve on the school crisis and safety team to assist with immediate student needs or safety interventions.
• Staff Collaboration & MTSS:
  Consult with teachers and principals to develop Tier 1 and Tier 2 classroom intervention strategies as part of our Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS).
• NYS Compliance:
  Participate in Committee on Special Education (CSE) and Section 504 meetings as required by your specific credential.
