Position Summary:
JCCA is seeking a Permanency Coordinator to lead and accelerate permanency planning to meet ACS/OCFS targets, including overseeing all ICPC cases. The Coordinator will guide children and families through each step from permanency-goal change to finalization of Adoption or KinGAP and successful discharge.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Permanency Planning & Case Progression- Drive permanency outcomes by facilitating progress from goal change to final adoption or KinGAP discharge.
- Oversee ICPC cases, ensuring timely coordination and compliance.
- Lead Long Stayers/Permanency Review meetings—scheduling, guiding discussions, and documenting outcomes.
- Facilitate permanency conferences to identify challenges and solutions.
- Conduct bi-weekly Adoption/KinGAP calls with FHS supervisors to advance permanency work across programs.
- Partner with JCCA’s legal team to ensure a seamless pipeline from TPR filing to finalization.
- Coordinate with ACS and OCFS, serving as the agency’s ICPC liaison.
- Participate in monthly EFFC implementation calls and support agency discharge targets.
- Monitor annual Adoption/KinGAP goals and support performance improvements.
- Collaborate with program leadership to ensure permanency goals are accurate, timely, and child-centered.
- Carry a small caseload and/or coordinate ICPC or Adoption/KinGAP cases as needed
Work primarily out of the Brooklyn office with one day per week in the Bronx as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in social work, human services or related field. Masters degree in relevant field preferred
- Must have previous leadership or administrative experience
- Must have in-depth k nowledge of Foster Care and New York City Child Welfare system.

- Strong people and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with very diverse groups of clients and staff
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, and requests simultaneously
- Proficient with MS Office with the ability to learn new technology platforms
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate and interact effectively at all levels of the organization;
- Ability to assign, and direct subordinate personnel in a manner conducive to productive performance
- An understanding of the impacts of institutional and structural racism on the child welfare system and in disadvantaged communities
Pay Rate: $55K -$60K ($30.22 -$32.97 per hour)
