Position Coordinator of Student Success & Retention Status Regular Full time Exempt Department Student Life Reports to Dean of Student Life Location Onsite Salary 6235320 annually
Description The Coordinator of Student Success & Retention provides proactive holistic non clinical case management for students experiencing academic personal financial health housing or other barriers to student success Reporting to the Dean of Student Life with a joint reporting line to the Dean of Curriculum the Coordinator serves as the Colleges central point of coordination for students requiring multi disciplinary support Working in close partnership with Academic Affairs Student Life Enrollment Financial Aid Residence Life Athletics and other campus partners the coordinator develops coordinated intervention strategies that improve student wellbeing persistence retention and successful degree completion The position operates as a collaborative institutional partner who identifies emerging student needs coordinates timely interventions monitors student progress and promotes continuous improvement in the Colleges student success efforts
Student Support & Case ManagementProvides comprehensive case management services for students experiencing complex or multi domain barriers to success Maintains an active caseload of students identified through Early Alerts Safety NetBAT referrals Residence Life faculty staff or self referral Conducts comprehensive intake meetings to assess academic financial health housing wellness and social barriers Develops individualized Student Support Plans in partnership with students Maintains regular contact based on student acuity and adjusts intervention strategies as needed Promotes student self advocacy while providing accountability and ongoing support
Campus Partnerships & Referral CoordinationCoordinates collaborative support across campus departments to ensure students receive timely integrated services Coordinates services across Academic Affairs CACS Residence Life Counseling Health Services Accessibility Services Financial Aid Athletics People & Culture and community resources Reduces duplication of services by serving as the central coordinator for complex student cases Maintains appropriate communication with campus partners while protecting student privacy
Assessment Documentation & MonitoringMaintains accurate documentation and evaluates student progress to support data informed interventions and institutional decision making Maintains accurate case documentation and outcome tracking Monitors student progress toward established stabilization goals Uses data to evaluate interventions and recommend process improvements Escalates concerns to Safety NetBAT or senior leadership when risk increases
Summer Re Enrollment & PersistenceLeads the Colleges coordinated summer re enrollment process for students at risk of not returning for the following semester Coordinates the Colleges summer re enrollment process for students at risk of not returning Maintains cross functional return rosters and facilitates regular review meetings Develops individualized Fall Return Plans and monitors completion of required milestones Tracks re enrollment outcomes and recommends improvements to institutional processes
Transition & Case ClosureFacilitates successful transition from intensive case management to sustained independent success Transitions students to lower levels of support once stabilization benchmarks have been achieved Develops transition plans that encourage sustained success and appropriate follow up resources
