DescriptionPLEASE NOTE BEFORE APPLYING: THIS ROLE REQUIRES 90% CLIENT/HOME VISITS WITHIN THE BRONX & FLEXIBILITY OF WORK SCHEDULE AND MUST WILLING TO WORK AT LEAST 1-2 SATURDAYS PER MONTH
- This full-time position in the Bronx, NY, involves providing trauma-informed counseling services to individuals and families affected by intimate partner violence (IPV).
- The role requires collaboration with a team and flexibility in working hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Bilingual in Spanish/English
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling Psychology, or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in trauma-informed domestic violence services
- Experience with abuse/batterer intervention programming
- Knowledge of child development and trauma-informed practice
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Licensure or on track for licensure; LCSW preferred
- Experience with NYC child welfare involved families
- Understanding of New York's domestic violence service system
- Ability to function independently and within a team
- Experience with client-centered engagement approaches
- Excellent verbal, writing, and organizational skills.
