Social Worker – Supportive Housing (LMSW/LCSW)
Bronx, NY
$70,000 - $90,000 + Benefits
An affordable housing organization is seeking a Licensed Social Worker (LMSW or LCSW) to provide on-site supportive services to residents and promote long-term housing stability. This role is ideal for someone with experience in affordable or supportive housing who is passionate about helping individuals maintain successful tenancies and access essential community resources.
Responsibilities- Serve as the primary point of contact for residents requiring supportive services.
- Conduct resident assessments, develop individualized service plans, and monitor ongoing progress.
- Coordinate move-ins, tenant orientations, and regular wellness check-ins.
- Connect residents with community resources, including healthcare, benefits, employment, financial assistance, and mental health services.
- Work closely with property management to address tenancy issues and help prevent evictions.
- Provide crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and mediation when needed.
- Assist residents with housing subsidy compliance, recertifications, and rent-related concerns.
- Maintain accurate case notes, reports, and documentation in compliance with program requirements.
- Collaborate with government agencies, service providers, and community organizations to ensure residents receive appropriate support.
- Active New York State LMSW or LCSW license.
- Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW).
- Experience working in affordable housing, supportive housing, or a similar housing-based program is required.
- Strong knowledge of housing resources, government assistance programs, and tenant support services.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with property management and external partners.
