Vibrant Emotional Health is building a candidate pool for future roles across our Community Programs, including opportunities with our Adolescent Skills Centers and Older Adult ACT program. These roles support different populations but share a focus on vocational services, employer engagement, and helping people build greater independence through work.
Employment Specialist | Adolescent Skills CentersAdolescent Skills Centers support young adults as they build the educational, vocational, and life skills needed to pursue greater independence and long-term goals. Employment Specialists provide individualized vocational support and help young people prepare for, obtain, and maintain employment.

Schedule:
Full-time. hybrid
Pay Range: $29.23- 32.97/hour
Responsibilities May Include- Providing vocational counseling, career exploration, and employment readiness support
- Helping participants identify employment goals and develop individualized plans
- Supporting résumé development, interview preparation, and job search strategies
- Providing job coaching and retention support
- Identifying employment, internship, training, and educational opportunities
- Building and maintaining relationships with employers and community partners
- Staying informed about labor market trends and employer expectations
- Supporting youth engagement, problem-solving, and conflict resolution
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation
- Collaborating with program staff and other supports involved in each participant's goals
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field;
Master's degree preferred - Minimum of two years of experience providing vocational or employment services to youth
- Skill in youth engagement, vocational counseling, and conflict resolution
- Knowledge of labor market trends and employer expectations
- Experience with evidence-based practices and job coaching models
- Bilingual skills preferred
The Older Adult Assertive Community Treatment program helps adults over age 50 with serious mental illness build the skills and supports needed to achieve greater independence and live meaningful lives in their communities.
The Individual Placement and Support Specialist helps ACT participants obtain and maintain competitive employment consistent with their vocational goals using the evidence-based IPS supported employment model.

Schedule:
Full-time, remote with 75–100% field work required
Pay Range: $29.23- 32.97/hour
Responsibilities May Include- Delivering individualized supported employment services using the IPS model
- Assessing vocational skills, interests, strengths, and preferences
- Supporting clients with employment, schooling, and technical training goals
- Conducting individualized job development and job search activities
- Building relationships with employers and identifying competitive employment opportunities
- Providing education and ongoing support to employers
- Helping clients understand how employment may affect benefits and entitlements
- Supporting participants in individual and group settings
- Collaborating with the multidisciplinary ACT treatment team to integrate vocational and behavioral health services
- Maintaining timely and accurate documentation
- Bachelor's degree in a mental health or related field;
Master's preferred - Minimum of 1 year of experience supporting individuals with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders
- Minimum of 1 year experience in job development and employer engagement with underserved communities
- Ability to travel 75–100% throughout NYC boroughs and nearby counties
- Cultural competence in mental health, disability, and employment settings
- Strong crisis response and sound judgment
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary behavioral health teams
- Proficiency in documentation and electronic health record systems
- Bilingual skills preferred
