The New York County Family Court is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to support the work of the Human Trafficking Intervention Court. This position is vital to the Court's mission of supporting survivors of human trafficking and ensuring the fair and effective handling of related cases. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience in community engagement, and a deep understanding of the needs of trafficking victims.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct community outreach and build relationships with service providers and advocacy groups
- Provide advocacy and support for individuals impacted by human trafficking
- Participate in weekly case conferences and assist in follow-up actions
- Assist in screening and assessing cases for eligibility for court services
- Review reports for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
- Track and analyze trends through the maintenance of detailed spreadsheets and logs
- Perform general clerical duties, including data entry, scheduling, and file management
Associate degree or 60 college credits from an accredited college or university; or High school diploma or the equivalent and three years of relevant experience; or An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Candidates with lived experience in the human trafficking field are preferred.
