Location: New York

Description

  • Conducting psychological re-evaluations
  • Developing and monitoring Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP)
  • Delivering individual and group counseling as per student Individualized Education Plan (IEP) mandates
  • Participating in crisis interventions and trainings
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary staff to support student needs
  • Conducting parent and district outreach
  • Attending annual review meetings and participating in screenings
  • Supporting students' social, emotional and behavioral needs
  • Maintaining accurate records, counseling logs and Medicaid related documents
Requirements
  • New York State Education Department Certification:
    School Psychologist
  • Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills
  • Experience with Chairing Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings, 504 meetings, mandated counseling and risk assessments is preferred
  • Experience with FBAs and BIPs, as well as working with students with disabilities is preferred
  • Two or more years of related experience is preferred
