Parent Educator – LIPI, AFY

• Meet individually with parents
• Conduct parent education classes and support groups as needed
• Represent EAC Network at community events when needed
• Provide parent training virtually and in person for parents of children of all ages, following approved program curricula and ancillary instructional materials
• Maintain progress notes and provide regular client and supervisor contact and updates
• Send correspondence confirming client participation
• Communicate with DSS and the courts to report client progress
• Conduct parenting sessions virtually and within the community
• Perform other relevant duties as determined by supervision and EAC Network administration

• High School Diploma or Educational Equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree in human, social sciences or similar field required
• Master’s degree in human or social sciences preferred
• Two years of experience in Human Services or working with parents and children, including experience with families in crisis
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work cooperatively with the Department of Social Services and other professionals interfacing with program clients
• Proficiency in computer applications or automated systems, including spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar, email and/or database software
• Access to and ability to utilize a personal computer, cell phone, and transportation to perform job duties
• Bilingual Spanish speaking preferred
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as required

Demonstrates expertise in providing parent training and education, effectively communicating with families in crisis, and collaborating with social services. Proficient in maintaining client documentation and utilizing technology for program delivery.
